The Mahema Project is a unique combination of commercial business enterprise functioning within a community care and development framework.

Commercial:

The Mahema Project is recognised in Nepal as Mahema Industries (Pvt) Ltd, a foreign investment company registered with the Department of Industry of the Government of Nepal, company registration number 40854. The company was a licence to ‘Purchase, Distil, Process, Package and Export Essential Oils. As a company we seek to adhere to fair trading principles, exporting essential oils tested to the highest quality standards.

Development:

The Mahema Project aims to partner with Essential Oil providers who adhere to organic and sustainable agricultural and forestry management standards. Our partnership agreements ensure that an agreed premium price is paid to our Essential Oil providers with additional technical support provided en-situ.

Community Care:

All Mahema Project Staff undergo personal skills development training while receiving quality wages. The Mahema Project provides childcare facilities for the young children of its employees and after school facilities for the older children.

The Mahema Project is committed to disbursing its profits in the local community by linking with community groups working to improve the physical, social, spiritual and emotional well being of people in Nepal.
